Slouchy Hobo Bag
As you can see, I’m still making flowers and still loving it. This time I’ve moved from headbands to handbag.
This is my new holiday handbag. I made it using a free pattern – Hot Patterns Slouchy Hobo. It’s made using a very stiff denim (leftover from my (lego bags) and a piece of blue/turquoise florally fabric picked up at an op shop for about 50c. I love it when I make something from scraps or cheap finds. I get a strangely smug feeling that I’ve scored something for free.

The pattern specifically states that you don’t use a stiff pattern but because I was using leftovers I decided to just make-do. I guess it’s not as slouchy as it would otherwise be. Pocket-wise I did my own thing. I changed their position and added a handy external pocket. I’m going to sew on a keyring holder today as well.

This is a very roomy bag destined for a holiday overflowing with hats, suncream, drink bottles, snacks, nappies and a trillion other things.
