My Birdie Sling

I decided it was time to have a go at making a bag. My sister, a much more experienced sewer than me, has made quite a few bags in recent years and it was time to get in on the action. I hunted around for a pattern that was roomy but not oversized (my sister already made me one of those). I needed a bag that could easily fit nappies, wipes, spare clothes, drink bottles, lunchboxes, hats and sunscreen while still looking a bit groovy and stylish. I chose Amy Butler’s Birdie Sling pattern. The pattern was simple and easy to follow. Fortunately, my sister scanned it first and identified that one of the diagrams was incorrect before I ended up in a muddle.
I am super happy with the results and use it almost everyday.
