Good sleeves!

This top is my latest sewing achievement and I love it! It's a straight copy of a top I recently purchased in Myer. It is so comfortable, so wearable and so very perfect for getting around in the tropics. I'm not usually a sleeve-type of gal. Since living in the tropics, I've grown to despise them and avoid them at all costs. I always find them to be hot, sticky, sweaty pieces of yuckiness! But not the sleeves on this top. No sirree! It feels like I'm going sleeveless while reaping the benefits of sleeves. It's a win-win.

My sister gaveme this fabric for Christmas and it is made from the leftovers of a dress I'm yet to sew together. I'm not all bad - I have cut it out and almost finished a muslin so things are on track. I'm just yet to get to and finish the main event! Stay tuned!

  4. Oh, gorgeous top! I should have kept that fabric for myself! Clever you for copying a top that you liked. I'm so pleased that you had enough fabric for 2 garments. Hopefully you have lots of little scraps for crafty projects...nothing like making your favourite fabric go on and on and on...
