Kitchen Makeover

Over the past two weekends, Paul and I have been giving our tired-looking kitchen a bit of a spruce up. The breakfast bar area had been looking somewhat dilapidated for the past four years after I over-enthusiastically took to the cabinet, which had been located there, with a hammer and chisel one quiet afternoon. And there it sat, year, after year, after year.

Finally, four years and three children later, we hired a builder to neaten it up and line it. A lick of blue paint and a skirting strip and it looks a million dollars!

We loved the blue so much, that we continued it around the corner into the kitchen itself, giving the cupboards a bit of a 'pick-me-up'.

The stools were collected from a range of op-shops and garage sales over the years. We sanded them all back and painted them red. We're both super happy with the outcome. I love it!
