My Birdie Skirt

Here’s my new birdie skirt. I've called it the birdie skirt because it is made from the scraps leftover from my birdie sling. I hadn't intended to have pleats in the front but the skirt was way too big for me and I couldn't be bothered unpicking the side features and hem. It is much fuller than I imagined but still OK. I don't love it, but like it enough to wear it often, so I guess you could call it a semi-success! 

 I used Burda 8281 and got the idea for the semi-circle features from an Etsy shop called grevilleadesign. This shop is full of really cool skirts made from recycled vintage finds. Definitely worth a look!
